Water boiler and steam systems like baseboard or radiators, provide radiant heat instead of forced air, like a traditional furnace. Although they are common in older homes, radiant heat systems are again rising in popularity. They are still fueled by natural gas, propane, or heating oil, but tend to be more efficient than forced air systems. Radiant heat systems are also said to provide an ‘even heat’ and they eliminate any allergy or respiratory issues since they are not blowing dust and particles through your home.
We service and repair both new and old boiler systems. If you have an aging boiler, it could be a good idea to get it inspected–especially in our climate. If you have questions about your boiler, or want to know more about radiant heat, feel free to contact us.
